My partner and I were both intrigued at the idea of expanding our idea of sexual expression and interaction. We talked for months about whether we might be adventurous enough to experiment with others, separate, or as a couple, in some version non-monogamy. After agreeing that it felt safest to us to start as a couple, we began to look for a place to start and found Nontra's Sacred Sex Temple.
We didn't know what to expect and were certainly a little nervous and apprehensive about what it might be like to be in such an environment. Would it feel clean and safe? Would people be respectful of our lack of experience and allow us to drop in slowly? We had so many questions, and certainly some apprehensions, but stepped in and went for it.
Upon arrival at the temple, Amy greeted us with warmth and made us feel welcome. She gave us a tour of the space and was very clear as to her expectations for how we showed up and what we should expect of others as well. She was ready and willing to answer any questions we had. The temple she created was fun, artistic and sexy and there were a variety of interesting alcoves for more privacy and some larger public spaces... a little something for everyone. There were toys large and small, manual and mechanical. There was a swing, a massage table and so much more.
After a little adjustment to this new environment we started to feel very comfortable and ready to participate. No one made us feel pressure to join and we were able to ease in. We never expected to feel so relaxed within our very first experience. When we had talked before the event about what we would do there, we saw ourselves most likely not departing the role of observers. Well, because of the safety and comfort of the environment, and the sweet vibe of the other guests, we went all the way in! We played with toys, we played with others and we became the observed instead of being the observers. Had you asked either of us before we walked in there we never would have predicted all the sexy fun we had. We left with an excited but calm buzz and can't wait to come back and see what surprises await us next time.
